Notes On Carol Arnold's Reproduction: Made in early 2005, this is a practice dial that serves as a prototype for the replacement dial for the real Nailsea dial that will go in the original dial's location. Arnold calls this "The St Michael's Sundial" after the name of her house where it is installed. She turned the bird round and altered the branch a bit just for the sake of doing it slightly differently The white area is acid etched. Arnold does't think it gives a very clear shadow, so for the next one she will use white enamel instead.
